I was at EMF that night,& I stayed to the very end. Maxwell did a great show, I felt bad about the people leaving early. He was worth staying to the end. Maxwell always does 100% plus more.True fans stayed to the end.

I remember when he was scheduled to appear in Birmingham, AL November of 2002 or 2003, he was a no show. I vowed never to buy tickets again to see him perform. In Nov 2008, I gave him one more try, and baby let me tell you, he was awesome. I would have been deathly sick if I I missed that show!

I agree with Assata the tone of this article was a bit stank…I don’t know if Mr. Spera is a “hater” or not..but he definitely needs to learn how to be a more objective writer….

Maxwell and his performance were absolutely beautiful! What a gift to have the opportunity to experience his performance and his incredible band!!! Anita Baker’s performance was excellent but extended (and I dont know the details of what caused the delays) but I was grateful Maxwell came out and blessed us with his beautiful voice and presence!!!

I was there at the Superdome patiently awaiting him to grace me with his presence. Earlier in the day, I waited three hours at the convention center to meet him and have him sign FIVE cd covers for me. Lol. Sick…I know. Anyway, true Maxwell fans waited. I came all the way from WI to see him. I feel he was shafted and the patience of a lot of fickle EMF fans wore pretty thin. I enjoyed him and drank in his humble, incredible, soothing, and kind-hearted personality. He was my perfect late- night lullaby and I went to sleep a very happy girl. Thank you, Maxwell.

I would have loved to have been there…more importantly REAL singers can afford to be a little late as long as they provide the audience wit a good show, which I am sure he did. Can’t wait for Tuesday for the album! Have y’all heard about this singer named K’Jon, he has that song “On The Ocean” …he reminds me a lot of Maxwell…yall should check him out at http://www.myspace.com/whoiskjon
