I attended the concert as well and I agree with Sharon, his voice was hoarse, but he did give his all. To no fault of Maxwell's, the venue was horrible and general admission was the ultimate fail. The crowd seemed dead at times because no one could really see him unless you were up front.

All of this VIP treatment is ridiculous when people are paying their money to attend a show. They need to work it out like the rest of us...just sayin! But all in all, I love Maxwell and is band is amazing!!!! Can't wait to see him again!

I was a participant at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion and attended the Maxwell concert. I haven't waited in line like that for a concert since I was a college student, but the show was worth the wait. The corporate sponsors for the family reunion got the prime seats up front near the stage, which was my only real disappointment, other than the big screens not working.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get decent seats anyway. Otherwise, I thought he sounded great, maybe a little huskier voice than usual, but he always gives his heart and soul to the fans when he performs. I already have tickets to see him again for his Fall arena tour in October when he comes to Houston. This time around will be girls night out! I will always love my dear, sweet Maxwell!

I saw Maxwell in Kissimmee.

I'm a big Maxwell fan, but was very surprised at how hoarse his voice sounded when he performed at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion event. Maxwell needs to rest this voice a while before doing any more shows. I would hate for him to do any damage to those wonderful vocal chords by pushing himself to do more shows. There was a big difference in how he sounded in Connecticut back in July and this past Friday (09/04/09). But I still love Maxwell. He is the hottest thing going and the ladies loved every minute of seeing him perform, including me.

As far as the venue, The Gaylord Palms is a beautiful resort hotel, but I was totally put out by the whole general admissions set-up for the concert. Grown folks do not like to stand in line for hours just to ensure they get a decent seat. I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours before entering the concert hall and still got a terrible seat. I then waited another hour and fifteen minutes before Maxwell appeared on stage. No warm-up act. I will never do that again. I will only attend a concert where I have an assigned seat.
Much love to Maxwell.
