19467284 Over the weekend, there were some tweets from @_MAXWELL_. Just about ALL of the tweets set off interesting replies. Some of the replies even made my eyebrows rise. It almost reminded me of those days when activity was high on Maxwell’s MySpace page. Don’t worry though, he removed the three tweets that got the strongest reactions.

He did lovingly update his 68,000+ followers with some neat information. Laid to rest was the setlist from MAXWELL Live 08 & MAXWELL Summer 09 Tour. No mo’ repeats. This is quite exciting to get some freshness into the mix. Though the artist wasn’t talking about the songs themselves but arrangement of them. And yes, I personally knew the old setlist but actually, better than the back of my hand. Again, the newness and freshness of the arena tour is welcoming.

The updating didn’t stop there, in pure excitement, it was tweeted that there is a forthcoming live DVD/live album coming soon from MAXWELL. YAY! Already knew about the live album but a live DVD. Cool! Thumbs up! How intriguing is all of this? I for one cannot wait to hear from those of you who will be in attendance to the upcoming arena shows. Please do share that with The Latest Maxwell News.

Don’t be tardy for the party! Sounds like one to remember for a lifetime.

I just noticed that he took those couple tweets off, had me thinking that he needed a Big Momma hug,lol. Or that Big Momma needed to be tryna find out who had my bwoy a bit tiffed, lol. Yeah one of the emails sent out by Sony mentioned that live CD, I cannot wait to see a live DVD that will be too sweet. I gotta check with Ticketmaster they haven’t mailed my Oct 2 tickets yet, but they mailed the one that I got for Sept 28 been a few weeks I had that, how crazy is that.

I agree with MAXLUV508, I wanted to just HUG him through the screen. I’m never on twitter at night but was on to view those “deleted” tweets. I hope the replies were respectful at least?? Also, you were able to see everyone’s reply to his page or were you speaking of elsewhere? Just curious as to what others had to say….

@Bama_Gurl – I could see those who have public pages tweets to him. Do a search for @_MAXWELL_. Everyone can see it.

I’m supposing he uses this to see what is being said to and about him on twitter…? Which eliminates the need for him to follow anyone.

But he can’t see what’s said on private accounts though. You’ve got to follow people with private accounts to see what they are saying.

I am glad to hear the comment about M using the songs to tell a story, “i think” there are storys that are told through the years and his songs, there’s after all a soundtrack there with my name on it

It would be definitely awesome, cause it is a great concept to have a concert (rnd/rock.etc) tell a story, and to my knowledge it has never been really done.

Well, as others have said, sometimes you do forget that what you tweet…everyone that follows you can see. But I love that he opens up like that sometimes..even if he deletes them later. We all have some kind of problems

I responded to the particular tweet about which you are speaking. But I was respectful and sympathetic. I was surprised he actually tweeted a response to his followers on the subject minutes later.

Hey, we all have our moments and I thought his response was funny and cute.

My tickets arrived for the October 12 concert last week and I will be more than happy to share with everyone about the experience.

I read the three tweets he deleted and responded but I did not find them to be problematic. However, I did not read any other responses.

I thought his response to his followers tweets was funny and cute. OH well.

I want to know WHEN the MTV Unplugged DVD will be made available!?!?!

If this BSN DVD comes out before the MTV Unplugged album is going to be made available, I’m going to be writing someone at Viacom, Columbia and Maxwell’s management.

Many of us have been waiting patiently for that DVD. Let’s say about 10 years!!!

The infamous “library book lady” tweets. LOL

I thought he was being open and honest. I think the thing that “set it off” was his implication that he should look for a “girl” on the, shall we say, ‘plain’ side; b/c the “fine” ones can’t be “held” down for long periods of time.

I didn’t agree w/ what he said even though I understand his frustrations w/ hoping for a “happier ending”.

And I think some of the responses (the ones I read) were open and honest. I don’t think they were trying to be disrespectful or unsympathetic to Max; just give him a perspective he might not have thought of.

I hope that he knows that at the end of it all…there’s love.

I hope people weren’t mean to him about his tweets I think he was being honest about how he felt at that time…..I’m thinking he is single again …

I don’t mean to sound unsympathetic either because I love Max to death but maybe he should leave the “girls” alone and find himself a real woman. Someone who can appreciate him and love him the way he deserves. That’s just my 2 cents! :O)

@2Serenity- Don’t you have that MTV Unplugged? Like you said that was nearly 10 years ago. I mean didn’t you record it? I had it on VHS until I brought a DVD recorder a few years ago so I recorded it to DVD, and you mention the CD that has been out as well.

As a result of all this talk about Maxwell’s Twitter, I felt obliged to join Twitter. I thought I would never join, because I just didn’t want to get caught up in all this Twitter madness. However, I only joined so that I can remain updated on all the Maxie tweets, etc. BTW, I’m still trying to find someone to pay for my ticket to go see him at MSG! LOL.

@2serenity that MTV Unplugged came out in 1997 so its been 12 yrs, thats when it aired as well. I can’t imagine them putting it out now, but who knows, best to get a copy from a friend.

@Sanjay – NOW/at the party didn’t come out until 2001
