I have been blessed to see Maxwell quite a few times in concert, even last nite in b’more! I have to say that I have enjoyed every one of his shows but the Richmond show was the BEST! I have ever attended! The energy was Caliente! The entire Band was fabulous! Maxwell was the consummate entertainer, and really “in touch” with the entire arena, esp. the fans lining the stage! We were blessed and I hope he felt our Love for him. Peace and Blessings. 10-24-09.

The Maxwell concert was amazing last night. I attended with my daughter-in-law as she had never seen Maxwell in concert. It was an amazing show, and you could see that Virginia loves Maxwell. There was plenty of people in attendance for a Wednesday night, and we all had a blast. We missed Chrisette Michelle, but I saw her at the MGM Grand in Foxwoods in July. My daughter-in-law was disappointed, but I’ll find a show for her later. Common shocked me as I never thought I’d like hip hop as much as I did with him doing it. What a pleasant surprise he was, and now I’ll have to go out and buy some of his music. I have a new found respect for Common and hip hop!

I love Maxwell, and even though I live in the Boston area, and saw him in CT in July, I wanted to see him again. My son, stationed at Fort Lee found tickets to the show in Richmond, and I’m so happy he did. One of the best shows ever. Next time he’s doing shows I hope he comes back to New England, and not the House of Blues, too small.

The concert was marvelous. The y-shaped runway was very effective in bringing Maxwell “closer” (no pun intended). The “disappear/reappear” effect was very intriguing, leaving those around the runway wondering where he would appear next. The “shower of wings” at the end of “Pretty Wings” was enchanting.

He talked to his audience a lot last night, letting us know that he knew something about hard economic times and that he was extremely grateful to those who still came to his concerts despite the recession. Maxwell was in great voice and the band was first rate. It was a wonderful night.

I was there and I am in love. I never knew Maxwell could dance. Truly, I wanted him to hold me. I just wish they could have got the mic situation together. Thank you Maxwell for a wonderful evening. If anyone knows how to reach him, I mean speak to him, please let me know. I don’t think I have the words to express how aww struck I am, still at work, as I am right now.

Maxwell was magnificent. The stage was designed so he was still intimate with fans. The band was excellent and I was able to meet a few band members. When he shook my hand it was sincere not a quick slap. He was so appreciative at the end!!!!
