I’m with those who are tired of the same question too. It’s been over a year already since his return to the stage and release his music to his audience. Let’s just move on to what new or next with the trilogy album or when will I expect my invitation to his wedding (LOL)? All these interviewers should know by now he’s sticking to his story and that’s all to it. If there were more to it, I don’t blame Max for sharing. We did not became fans of his personal life, we became fans of his music. At least I know I did.

I think they ask him because it is such an unlikely answer, which is so unique to Maxwell and telling of his humility and personality. I dont think they are trying to trip him up at all. He is such an unusual personality in the spotlight, so humbled and gratful for our adoration. He is so much more personable than the rest!
I wish he play here in MIlan!

I’m tired of the “what were you doing for the past 8 yrs” question myself. But the fact that they KEEP asking him lets me know that they (the media) don’t believe him.

You know how it is when a person doesn’t believe your story so they think if they ask you enough times, you’ll slip up and tell them something you didn’t intend to.

That’s all this is. The media isn’t really buying the “I just wanted to be a regular person” and “I just lived a regular life” story, so they think if they keep asking him, he’ll trip-up and tell them why he REALLY left and what he was REALLY doing.

I believe him. Everybody isn’t fame-loving & spotlight hungry like some people I could name…but won’t.

Still my question remains…Hows’ it a comeback when you leave on your own terms? Aren’t comebacks reserved for those who start struggling to sell records, causing them to leave (or be forced out) by the industry/label? This is more like an extended vacation to me.
