Hi Maxwell,
Your concert was phenomenal and breathtaking! It was beautiful, awesome, dynamic and muy caliente! May God bless you always and forever! PLEASE don’t stay away from us your fans and friends for SEVEN long years!

The entire show was well done–Chrisette Michelle is a great talent and Common was naturally in great form in front of the hometown crowd.

I was aware that Maxwell was having vocal issues, but he refused to let it stop him from leaving it all on stage. Although he couldn’t use his falsetto at full power, he was solid in his mid and lower registers and let the crowd help him out on “This Woman’s Work” and “Fortunate.” His band was fantastic and he let the music speak for itself. Max is a PERFORMER, and he knew that Chicago would expect nothing less than the best. I was so proud of him, and glad to be a fan!

Yes, I was there and Maxie did the damn thang as he always do. Sounded a little hoarse but, he still put on a GOOD show. I must tell my LMN fam that I have a Maxwell tote bag and I looooooove it!

I did attend Thursday night’s concert at the United Center in Chicago. It was my first Maxwell experience, and I was entranced. Although I must say that as much as I enjoyed the concert, (Chrisette Michelle, Common, and of course the main course, Maxwell) I was in the balcony and I was insanely jealous of the lucky sisters who surrounded the stage and got to touch, hug, or shake hands with Max numerous times. Last night I had a dream that he pulled me up on stage. (Of course in the dream I wasn’t in the balcony.) :) Once on stage, he asked me which of his songs did I like the most, I responded, “For Lovers Only,” he then asked me to sing it with him! I guess I was actually singing in my sleep cuz my husband woke me up and told me to shut it up! He is so Un-Maxwell-like! So, again I really enjoyed the concert, but felt let-down at the end because I didn’t get to touch him. Next time I will definitely be in the front…What a beautiful human being.

My girls and I attended the show and we truly enjoyed the experience. We had pretty close seats and the sound/mics seemed to be off when Chrisette and Common performed. I couldn’t understand what they were saying. So, I was somewhat hesitant at first because I was uncertain how Maxwell would perform in an arena type setting. Plus, I’m so used to seeing him in a small venue.

However, when he hit the stage I put all my reservations aside and was thrown aback by his performance. I love the way he acts as if he is awestruck by his fan base. After all these years, he’s still so humble. I think it’s phenomenal that he gives his band the space they need to showcase their talents. He respects them and truly honors who they are. I’m so happy that he sang, “Playing Possum”. Loved him and his performance. Truly a blessing to be able to experience him.

Maxwell is on top of his game!! He represents all that is the essence of a man. I was very close to the tip of the Y shaped stage and baby, when he came up and started singing I was stunned by his beautifulness. I have a new founded respect for this talented and truly gifted artist and to think this is the “first” of a trilogy, I can’t wait for the the next phase.
