Quite a crowd came out last night to watch Maxwell‘s return to the spotlight, some eight years after the release of his previous album. There was a “grown and sexy” vibe to the crowd — the majority of the fans were over 30 and ‘dressed to a T.’ And although couples dominated the crowd, plenty of single ladies — some of which hoping to score some face time with the headliner — were also in attendance.

Big ups to the Lou for coming out supporting this massive concert. For starters, we arrived 10 min late. I guessed we underestimated the crowd of close to 12,000. Wow! So we missed some of Chrisette Michelle, but what we heard her sing was awesome. Then Common took the positive hip hop game to another level. He really did his thing. Then the Main Event! Mr. Maxwell. This was my fourth time seeing Mr. Maxwell, and once again, he delivered! From beginning to end, he did his thing. I did notice he was a little hoarse. After doing some research, he has been under the weather for about 2 weeks. But still, the man jammed “All Night Long.” He didn’t get a chance to sing two of his baby makers! LOL! Fortunate and Til the Cops Come Knockin. He Jammed. But no “A Womans Work or Whenever Wherever Whatever.” I was somewhat sad! But I understood! His falsetto disappointed him! But that’s cool because he was better than most singers on good their best nite! He has the coolest moves and dresses his (TAIL) off. If I could be someone else! Mr. Maxwell would be the choice. GREAT SHOW! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN!
