What is MAXWELL’s Most Sexiest Song?

Generally, I am curious to know what those who frequent The Latest Maxwell News think is the artist’s most sexiest song and why. When I say sexiest, I do not necessarily ONLY mean the song that makes you want to procreate or get in all the practice you can before you procreate.

It could mean the song that makes you feel sexy or desirable. Currently, the jury is still out for me personally. This is an open-ended discussion for the grown and sexy.

“Whenever, Wherever, Whatever” is the most romantic song not only by Maxwell but to come out that entire YEAR! It is why I STILL give it a spin today in 20029; a true SEXY classic that will undeniably last throughout time! I love you, Maxwell!

“Everwanting:To Want You to Want”

This song eloquently expresses the transformative nature of a love relationship. At the same time, it shows that there is give and take in a relationship without co-dependency.

Okay if I MUST choose I would say, “Stop the World”.

I know Max has written more lush melodies and more sensual lyrics but this song is so beautifully direct and heartfelt in it’s simplicity.

Why would you do this to me? LOL I’m not sure I could pick one because whatever he sings is sexy, even the ones about heartbreak. So I’m going to pick: “For Lover’s Only”, “Till The Cops Come Knocking” and “W/as My Girl” when he sings this one live… Lord Help Us.

I have to say “Til The Cops Come Knockin’”. That song introduced me to Maxwell and has got to be one of the sexiest songs of all time. Can’t think of any song sexier actually…hmmm.

Wow..that’s a tough one. Its a tie between Whenever, Wherever, Whatever and Was/As My Girl. WWW is sexy because of the vulnerability that he shows. He is PLEADING for this woman to love him. Its heartbreaking and still very hard for me to listen to. Was/As My Girl because the groove is just so damn SEXY. And plus the lyrics are VERY suggestive.

Definitely Sumthin Sumthin-Love Jones version. The definitive sound of sexual tension and anticipation. Whenever I hear this song, it’s like someone has activated the remote control to…never-mind. All I can say is that this song put Maxwell in my dreams..lol.

The sexiest song to me is The Suite Theme. I’ve listened to that song over and over again and one day I was listening on my iPod and had it on blast. That’s when I heard as his little whispers, saying stuff like “get closer” his breathing, he says “come on” in a sexy smooth whisper that’s what really got me. “Keep hanging just a little while longer baby”. Lawd, I can’t take. He said “don’t go stay with me ok”.. O my my my.. Umph! Had to hit repeat..

For me, the sexiest Maxwell tune is Everwanting. Just look at the lyrics: “Lay all night here on top if you want to” “Everwanting to want you to want”. Wooo, I’m getting heated already:) Although, Gravity-Pushing to Pull rates a VERY close second. “Pushing to Pull-I’ll be hunting”. Go Maxwell!

It’s so hard to pick one song because he writes different songs for different moods. When you want to hear vulnerability and sensitivity in a man (which I find sexy) then WWW is the song for me. When you want to get down with someone special ‘Til the Cops Come Knocking is the jam you want to hear. Stop the World is definitely a sexy song as well.

I am currently in Grad School and with it comes some very hard questions to answer…..this is the hardest to answer with just one song. This man can definitely create some SEXY songs b/c he is OH SO SEXY himself. One that can really send this sista into a lustful frenzy is Suitelady (The Proposal Jam). The beats in this song makes my pelvis and hips move instantly. Just thinking about the song sends chills up my spine. I can surely give a sexy dance show with that song.

Oh my goodness!!!! Where do I begin? Maxwell has so many sexy songs but my favorite, hands down, has got to be Sumthin’ Sumthin’ Mellosmoothe version from the Love Jones soundtrack and I have every Maxwell cd short of his demo I guess! LOL. I see Paula, Kym and others agree. :-) . That song is soooo sexy!!!

But coming in a close second for me would be Suite Lady ~ The Proposal Jam. Now, I know everyone has the fast version of Sumthin’ Sumthin’ on their minds but if you haven’t checked the mellosmoothe version out, you are really missing out. Guaranteed baby-making music. I can listen to it over and over and over again! I can be at work listening to it and think about my husband. It puts me in a very sexy frame of mind. :-) I love it. Maxwell is definitely a musical genius, especially since he was so young when he did it!

First of all, this is a real loaded question. It is really hard to pinpoint just one song as SEXIEST, because they all exude many facets of sexiness. First, you are given the song, then for some songs you are hit with a video…it makes it that much harder to choose, so here are my TOP 3

1. Gestation: Mythos/Everwanting:To Want You To Want…I Love The Music, it just seems to take you to another world and the Lyrics,the analogies (ex. Plush Filled Blush) that is the best I have every heard “it” referred to.

2. Sumthin’, Sumthin’ (The Love Jones Version)…
The falsetto as always is wonderful, but it just seems to go through me everytime I hear it.

3. Last, but not least Submerge…The music is so SEXY and MESMERIZING almost Entrancing.

I, too, think this is an unfair question. Everything that has ever parted his lips makes me feel sexy or sensual or alive, because everything is one long, continuous love song.

Reunion is sentimental and nostalgic and has a very special place in my heart. The instrumentation in Everwanting sounds like the inside of me. Everwanting, Submerge, and Eachhoureachminute (my “I can’t say no” song) are all perfect portraits of the blessed spirituosexual experience. And from BSN– Stop the World has completely captured my heart.

My sentiments about this some mirror those from All Heavan’s comment above (Oct 19, 2009). My heart broke and mended all at that same time somewhere in the chorus ..If it was you if it was I so perfectly designed to be here all night. Then let the world rage outside because when I am with you the world stops from me. The most abstract and overwhelming feelings spoken so simply and eloquent. I am left speechless and almost blue. If he only knew that the world stops for me, too.
