Thanks for posting the video. His voice sounds sooooo much better. I’m glad that he’s able to rest more in between his shows because it definitely shows when he sings. The first half of his US tour needs a re-do!

@ DEE, I was able to catch his 5th show in DC and his very last show in Baltimore. There WAS a difference in his voice! If any re-do it should definitely be NYC. My Girlfriend paid almost $300 for her ticket and said his voice was Very Raspy and weak! I enjoyed both performances tho.

Hey Guys,

Do you think the U.S. venues may have played a part in the way he sounded? I saw him in DC and Baltimore and both were not very good. In DC we were in the balcony with speakers hanging from the ceiling about 40 feet in front of us and the sound was deafening. I held my fingers in my ears the entire concert. Through Chrisette Michele, Common and Maxwell. The sound was just so incredibly loud. In Baltimore, we were on the floor and being so close we still couldn’t hear him well – but the view was fantastic – and made up for the fact that we couldn’t hear. But I’m just wondering – do you think that the European venues are better geared towards concerts than the U.S. ones. Those places were probably built specifically for concerts, chamber music, etc. and may have much better acoustics than the U.S. venues have. I mean – the Verizon Center was built for sporting events and the First Mariner Center probably was as well. Plus, the place was as old as sin. Just wondering, what’s your opinion?

Thanks for the videos. Love the introduction and Happy Birthday to Chris “Patron”.

Awwwwwwh, you guys. I just got a chance to watch the videos – couldn’t do it at work. He sounds so good and, just like in DC, the band is too shape.

Maxwell and the band looked like they were having so much fun. And yes, his voice does sound better than DC or Baltimore. Wonder if that is a function of rest, or a smaller venue? I guess I’ll just have to go see him every time he comes to a town near me. That way I can compare the sound in the different sized venues? Just kidding – although that would be something I would happily do.

Happy Birthday to Chris! Maxwell is just the type of person who would celebrate a friend’s birthday that way. What a wonderfully thoughtful thing to do. Just a few more concerts and hopefully, he’ll be back in the States. Let’s wish him well and hope his voice stays strong and that he remains healthy.

Take care Maxwell, Luv you! You are the Truth.
