The r & b/soul categories are a given but record of the year is definitely a possibility..maybe even song of year for ‘Pretty Wings’, hopefully. Whitney will be concentrated in the pop categories. The Grammy’s love a comeback story, especially when there’s drama behind the scenes. Maxwell’s problem is..he’s stays out of trouble :D but anyway, one part of me wants this for him. Maxwell has put out some of the most amazing music during his 13 yrs in the game. He has raised the bar, people like Diddy and Kanye are now experimenting with electronica. Maxwell did it YEARS ago with Embrya, ahead of his time, so it would be hmmm, how would Maxwell put it “RESPLENDENT” (that’s a big enough word, right?) of the Grammy committee to honor him…HOWEVER..Maxwell is a wise soul who said that he tries not to attach himself to results…so I will try to be that gracious as well…but I’ll be rooting on the inside ;)

Maxwell’s music is EXCLUSIVE, EXCEPTIONAL and DISTINCTIVE!… When I listen I HEAR SOOOOOOO MUCH FLAVOR!!! His music should receive GRAMMY’s in these categories:

M’s music is Alternative, and Classic (The M FINGERPRINT)Dance, Gospel, (M’s vocals and music ain’t nothing but the TRUTH!)Latin, Pop, R&B, Rap, Rock, Spoken, Urban/Alternative and World (it’s all of that and is effective in reaching out to ALL people!)

Bonus categories for which he should also receive GRAMMY’s: Composing/Arranging, Film/TV/Media, (“Help Somebody,” and “Pretty Wings”) Music Video, (“Bad Habits”) Production/Engineering and Surround Sound.

I’m just saying!!!… :) :) :)

P.S. BLACKsummersnight was and is the best album of the year. M has the best BAND and Pretty Wings was definitely the best song of the year! Those GRAMMY’s have M’s name all over it! :)

BLACKsummersnight is an amazing album…Maxwell has graciously matured (I’m DEFINITELY NOT stating that he was immature…). The album is emotional, sexy, seductive, sincere…GROWN FOLKS MUSIC. I’ve been a fan since the first time I heard “Ascension” played on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.

I’m very excited about the possibility of Grammy nominations for BLACKsummersnight…These honors are long overdue…

My best wishes to you Maxwell… :)
