SUNDAY Smoothness: He’s Still Talking (videos)

Over the past few days since the artist, Maxwell, was nominated for 6 GRAMMYs he has done loads of press. Below are a couple of videos of him speaking his thoughts and feelings about those nominations.

The best musical comeback story may be R&B singer Maxwell who has been out of the spotlight for eight years. Maxwell’s album “Blacksummers’ Night” and hit single “Pretty Wings” brought him six Grammy nominations.

Maxwell performed a musical tribute to Michael Jackson during the nominations show, singing “Lady in My Life,” a ballad from Jackson’s “Thriller” album.

“I’ve been gone for eight years,” Maxwell said later. “I’ve been throwing out my trash, buying my milk and living in basic obscurity.” (CNN)

It’s wonderful to hear an articulate individual that actually uses verbs and adjectives to complete his sentences. He actually thinks about what he says before sharing his expressions. Maxwell Job Well Done!!! You deserve all of this recognition and more!!!

I’ve always been a fan of Maxwell’s music and its great to see him finally get the recognition that he deserves. However, lately, I’ve become an even bigger fan as I’ve listened to him speak about music and various causes he supports. He is a truly articulate, gentle, humble person and that is so refreshing to see these days.

Maxwell, I hope you have continued success and please keep making music that is genuine.

I just luv that man! “just want to bring back the idea of albums again … there was this thing that was a record before… a body of work as opposed to just 3 minutes of you shaking your butt on the dancefloor somewhere” … Gotta luv it! He always presents as humble and grateful – just makes him all the more sexy!! He definitely deserves the kudos that he’s receiving!
