Haiti Hit By Massive Earthquake, Relief Needed

Hello everyone,

I am sure you are aware by now, Haiti was hit by a 7.0 earthquake, Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Millions of Haitian people have been affected by this tragedy. Homes, businesses, schools and so on have been destroyed. Lives have been lost, women, men and children. It has been reported via Associated Press that upwards to one-third of Haiti’s 9 million people may need emergency aid as soon as possible. There is also news that a Tsunami may hit.

The Latest Maxwell News is encouraging you to give towards this cause. There are several different ways that you can assist and help somebody. There are many organizations you can donate monies to and it can be as simple as sending a text message. Below, there are several different organizations linked that are currently accepting aid.

Thanks, Chantay for postings this. It is going to be a long and difficult recovery.

My prayers to all who have lost loved ones and continued prayers for those who survived.

These people have so little to begin with, now this. Let’s just hope the outpouring of support is not just for today but continues in the weeks and months to come.

Reports from our European Red Cross helpers and “Doctors Without Borders” have been coming in all day now. Our local organisations from several countries, Christian as well as non-Christian, are aligning forces and releasing $ for Haiti funds.

Thank you so much for all that you do LMN, you are simply wonderful. Than~X for the extra encouragement and for providing those links. So thankful that all the world is sending help.

My thoughts are with those who’ve lost their lives, loved ones, family, homes and will no doubt be traumatized by this disaster.

I wish Maxwell strength in this trying time, knowing he has family ties in Haiti.

As the days roll by it’s easy to get distracted by other things in our everyday lives. Let us be diligent in our prayers and support for the people of Haiti. They need us so much right now.
