Overall it was a great experience. Due to personal situations, I thought about not going but I’m so happy I went. Seeing Maxwell perform was not only musical therapy but it definitely lifted my spirit.

I think his 1st tour was opening for them. He seems happy for them.

I went to see Maxwell and as usual, he gave 100%. He was full of energy, he sounded amazing. Last year, Detroit was near the end of his concert and his voice wasn’t as strong. BUT baby, last night, he was soo on point. And sexy as hell. Should be a fine, to be soo fine.

I went to the concert in Detroit last night. Jill Scott, what can I say…phenomenal…I dropped tears. Maxwell was great also but Jill took me there.

I went with my mom and sister… I got them tickets for Mother’s Day!!

We had EXCELLENT seats ( 4th row center) and the concert was the BOMB!!!

I came to see Maxwell though I LOVE Jill Scott too and he put on an even BETTER concert than last year, and he was PHENOMENAL!!! BEST CONCERT of 2010 HANDS DOWN!!

He’s full of energy, his voice is unmatchable and he’s FINE AS WINE!! I got great pictures and we had SUCH a good time!!!

He sang ALLLL my jams (except for one Whenever, Wherever, Whatever… my fave song of ALL time) but man did he sing EVERYTHING else, I hoped for!!!

SOOO glad I went! Worth every penny! I would go see him in another city just because it was such an AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!

Kudos Max and Jill!! You guys KILLED it!

Thanks you guys! You’ve got all of us late comers siked up. I’ve got front row for DC and Baltimore and I’m trying my best to just be cool. Stay calm, no big deal, just wait until our time comes. I’m not sweating the days till – I’m just going to work every day, checking the site, listening to the CD’s, hanging with my husband. He finally admitted that he really likes “Get To Know Ya.” He’s warming up and he can’t wait to see Jill Scott.

But you all are making me so excited!!!!! You’re making me gitty, my heart is starting to beat a little faster and I’m trying to decide what to wear. Last concert Maxwell shook my hand. This time I’m not going to press my luck. Just want to hear him sing and be in his presence.

Thanks so much for the reviews. Us late folks hang on your every word.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAXWELL!!!!!

Man, I’m getting excited too. I’m seeing him in Houston thinking I should probably get tickets to another city. My friend is seeing him for the first time. Can’t wait!!

Saw him last night at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan, this is my third concert since he’s been back. This man eludes sex appeal and smoothness, and he can dance his butt of..He is sooooo fine and those eyes “OMG”

Anyway the concert was magical the way it always is and his voice is perfection..Jill threw down as well, I love this lady realness, so cool and so cool..did I mention that she is so cool :-)

I am hoarse again LOL..Max is that deal a true artist that has the full package nothing is lacking with man.. “Yep” my third time within 2 years seeing him work that lovely magic that makes you just drool and get hoarse LOL..and as long as he keeps coming to Michigan it will be my 4th 5th 6th 7th…

Oh well you get the picture 8-D

Tamica May – thanks for the Fugees Grammy Awards video. Maxwell looked amazing then (and now).

I could see his enthusiasm for the Fugees was heartfelt. I smiled when he crinkled his nose and bit his lip when the announcement was made. He gave each of the Fugees a warm hug and embrace. Manners and home training showing through even (especially) at an awards ceremony. Nice guys really do finish FIRST.

This is my 3rd Maxwell concert and I am still on cloud 9! Everyone was cool we were all helping each other take pics and yes..I got to give him my rose and have it on video!! I had 2nd row but a couple in front left so I jumped up! Maxwell always does a great show it was worth the 2 hr drive by far!

I need help! Me and a guy friend are going to see Maxwell and Jill Scott next week and I don’t know what to wear!! I’ve never been to a concert. How should I dress?

thelatestmaxwellnews June 15th, 2010 at 1:44 pm

@Steph – Dress as if you’re going for a night out on the town. I’ve seen people dress all kinds of ways, for comfort, as if they are going to church, to school, around the corner.

It’s whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
