After 19 weeks, FISTFUL OF TEARS is in the number one position (for the first time) on the Urban AC charts with 2088 spins/plays. Nice. The video for Fistful of Tears was filmed sometime at the end of January and was directed by Philip Andelman (who also directed Pretty Wings). The video could possibly also include, band members who have toured with Maxwell. At the pinning of this entry, no word yet on when the video will be released. Hopefully soon.

And in other news, the PRETTY WINGS single was certified Gold by RIAA as of March 04, 2010.

Let’s keep the love moving long and strong for the music. FISTFUL OF TEARS has been doing quite nicely on the URBAN AC charts and comes in at the #6 position this week, a +2 increase from last week, with 1253 spins. Not far behind the new single, in fact at the #7 position, is BAD HABITS with 1226 spins. On the URBAN charts, FISTFUL OF TEARS comes in at the #36 position with 517 spins. If you want these singles at the number one position on the charts, request the music for airplay on your local radio.

Remember a few entries back when LMN mentioned that FISTFUL OF TEARS was itching to join BAD HABITS and PRETTY WINGS? Well, the single is still itching. Over the past few weeks, the single has lingered further down the U.S. airplay charts in the twenties as opposed to HABITS and WINGS and currently caters to a listening market of a little over 1 million. If you have fists full of love for this single, make sure you contact your local radio stations and request the song for airplay Maxwell4Play.

TEARS is Itching to Join BAD and PRETTY

Over the weekend, you may have heard FISTFUL OF TEARS spinning on your local radio (U.S.) because LMN sure did. Shoutout to WBAV 101.9 in Charlotte, NC. If you did not hear the song, there is a short window of space where you can. Since the holiday season has rolled in, some stations roll out new music for classic Christmas tunes up until the end of the year. By no means, should you stop requesting the music. FISTFUL OF TEARS is just itching to join BAD HABITS and PRETTY WINGS in the top ten of Urban (AC) radio. If you are feeling it, make it happen.

Also, the artist tweeted …losing to MICHAEL JACKSON is a serious compliment!! SUSAN G. KOMEN for the CURE http://komen.org. The American Music Awards aired Sunday, November 22, 2009 in which the singer was nominated for Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, Michael Jackson won this category. We suppose, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the organization involved with Fistful of Tears for breast cancer awareness. The foundation has been added to LMN’s Help Somebody page.

HABITS Jumps Over WINGS

On URBAN radio, Bad Habits has moved up 2 positions to number 13, thus jumping over Pretty Wings which held at the number 14 position. On URBAN AC radio, Pretty Wings has dropped 2 positions to number 3, while Bad Habits holds the number 1 position. But Alicia Keys’ Doesn’t Mean Anything is gaining ground on the chart.

No word on when or if Fistful of Tears will be released or if any proceeds will go to benefit any organizations. The single will benefit (or call attention to) Breast Cancer Awareness. Keep it locked here on LMN for more information.

…On URBAN radio here in the U.S. 3 up and 3 down, BAD HABITS moved forward while PRETTY WINGS moved backwards but the two landed right on top of each other. How comfy! There is still no word on when or possibly at this moment, if FISTFUL of TEARS will be released anytime soon. Bad Habits and Pretty Wings are doing well on the charts. As mentioned previously on The Latest Maxwell News, Pretty Wings could make history if it remains at the top of Billboard’s R&B/Soul charts for 2 more weeks. But more on that Thursday.

The good news is, according to Mediabase, BAD HABITS just entered the top 20 on Urban radio. Wonderful!
