So, I was in the car the other day and this song came on…MAXWELL’s “Bad Habits”. Of course, I turned up the volume extra loud. I never noticed how wonderful that song sounds on the radio! Too bad I could not hit a repeat button but I did the next best thing and requested the song and MAXWELL’s “Pretty Wings” once I got home by visiting my local radio station’s website. And you can too.

What’s the 1st Single?

There was a reason The Latest Maxwell News never asked fans what they thought the first single off BLACK SUMMERS NIGHT should be after experiencing the Live ’08 concert(s) either in person or on YouTube. There would have been an overwhelming landslide of people saying they wanted Bad Habits as the first single. The reception was quite bananas after people got a taste of the song. And I must agree Bad Habits has a naughty-edge to it that is definitely appealing. It does fit fetchingly into the intended full rawness of the pending ((BLACK))summersnight.

There is the possiblity that Pretty Wings, Bad Habits, Help Somebody & Cold (all of which can be found on YouTube) could be singles off the BLACK album. So very many offerings and so many goodies we may partake and indulge in, whichever one comes first and in whatever order afterwards, will be well received. Fans are now starving for it. Bad Habits (MAXWELL, BLACKsummersnight 2009, 2nd single) – After watching, SEVERAL different performances of this song on YouTube, I think I have reached a point where I feel comfortable with sharing what I “think” Maxwell is singing with this song, lyrics-wise. Back in October, a friend asked me for the lyrics, I listened to the various Amsterdam performances and sent the information to my friend and did not think anymore about it. So, I just got the chance to get back around to correcting what I heard back in October, September, November and December and I feel comfortable with the lyrics below. NOTE: I watched EVERY video on YouTube labeled Maxwell – Bad Habits or Maxwell – Will You Forgive Me, correct and wrong song title, respectively. Remember where you saw these lyrics…at The Latest Maxwell News. NOTE: These lyrics are from various performances on the Live 08 tour. If you’re looking for the album version’s lyrics click here.

My personal favorite performance of Bad Habits, I like the way it starts…More so, love the 21 seconds of heaven. I could take them to the bank and get cash money for them.
