Beyoncé headlines Friday night; MAXWELL LEADS SATURDAY; and ESSENCE ICONS an All-Star Celebration of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly closes Sunday night!

The nightly line up has been confirmed for the 2009 ESSENCE Music Festival presented by Coca Cola. Beyoncé, John Legend, and Ne-Yo kick off the Festival Friday night. Maxwell, Anita Baker and Robin Thicke take the stage Saturday; Lionel Richie and Teena Marie close out Sunday with our salute to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly with musical tributes and a performance by the legends themselves.

Plus many more of your favorite artists on the Main Stage and in the SuperLounges each night.

I just received a question from a reader wondering where the information about which day Maxwell would be performing during the Essence Music Festival came from (previous post), for verification purposes. The information came from a link that no longer exists. My advice for those who saw the information, whether here or at the link that is no longer available, is to wait until the official schedule for the festival is released.
