PRETTY WINGS, One of The Top Songs of 2009

PRETTY WINGS (Maxwell, BLACKsummers’night 2009) is topping many lists as the year of 2009 comes to a close. This year alone, the single saw much success on the Billboard charts and US. airway charts having consecutively held the number one slot on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a record number of 14 weeks. Thus, joining 4 other songs that hold the top spots on the chart in its entire history. Also, the song managed to remain in the number one spot on the URBAN AC (Adult Contemporary) charts for many weeks; often times, wrestling for the top position with Maxwell’s second single, BAD HABITS.

So, I was in the car the other day and this song came on…MAXWELL’s “Bad Habits”. Of course, I turned up the volume extra loud. I never noticed how wonderful that song sounds on the radio! Too bad I could not hit a repeat button but I did the next best thing and requested the song and MAXWELL’s “Pretty Wings” once I got home by visiting my local radio station’s website. And you can too.
